Mistakes Were Made is located on the Greybriar server of Rift. We have a wonderful and growing guild of members with activities scheduled every day of the week. We are currently running raids for T1 and T2 content. We offer scheduled guild activities for Crifts, PvP, Weekly Quest completions, Achievement and Puzzle runs, group dungeons and much more! Our team of officers work hard to provide content for the game as well as assist with a variety of our member's needs. We welcome you to our guild and our website and hope that you find a home with us in Rift! Never let it go without saying that... Mistakes Were Made. ;)
Mistakes Were Made (MWM) is a multi-aspect gaming community located on the Greybriar shard of Rift. MWM is committed to its members having an enjoyable playing experience where everyone is able to grow individually and as a guild. Our core values embody helpfulness, loyalty to one another, and fostering a positive atmosphere for all members.
The purpose of this Guild Charter is to provide a formalized set of governing guidelines and may be amended or adapted in a time and manner as decided by the Officer Corps.
MWM is a guild of like-minded players that are looking to accomplish similar goals, be it PVP, raiding, dungeons, crafting, or just for the social aspect. The Guild exists as a collaboration of people and therefore does not belong to any one person in particular. The guild belongs to everyone. Therefore, everyone should feel as if they are empowered to voice their opinion or make suggestions that they feel would be helpful in improving the Guild.
MWM guild officers exist purely to keep the guild organized and to help further achieve the goals of its members. The mindset of an Officer is one of service, not of personal dominance. Generally speaking, Officers tend to be the most organized and/or most knowledgeable in their respective fields. However, that knowledge is a gift and it’s the responsibility of each Officer to share that gift so as to help every guild member improve their game and in turn advance the Guild as a whole. Officers are entrusted with special guild permissions, by the guild members, only so as to maintain order within the Guild.
The long term intent of the rank structure is that the Guild should be self-sustaining. The functionality of the Guild should not cease because of the absence of a ranking member. Officers will have designated assistants. Assignments will be delegated so as to prevent any one member from becoming overburdened and/or overworked.
All members must conform to the Guild Rules of Conduct. Members will remain respectful towards one another. Members will avoid any form of demeaning comments or actions, unwanted advances, or other behavior that will either intentionally or unintentionally take away from the enjoyment of the game. No member will conduct themselves privately or publicly so as to bring discredit to themselves or the Guild.
An organized schedule of events will be posted and maintained, preferably through the guild website. Guild events should have a minimum of one week notice prior to the event so as to allow a fair opportunity for all interested guild members to sign up and coordinate their attendance.
No member will abuse their Guild privileges, including but not limited to loot acquired in raids or the Guild Bank. These are resources which must be shared equally and fairly amongst all guild members.
